Work experience
1996 - : Employed as research scientist at DMI
- 1996:
Calibration and validation of the 3D model, Mike3, for the
transition zone between the North Sea and the Baltic Sea.
The work was carried out as part of the EU project Dynamics of
Connecting Seas (DYNOCS) co-ordinated by DHI - Water and
Environment.
- 1997-2000:
Ph.D project.
Investigations of sea level variations in the North Sea obtained
from tide gauges, altimetry observations and modelling.
Speciel focus on the seasonal variations in the M2 tidal
constituent.
The Ph.D project was carried out as part of the Danish research
proejct Geoid and Sea Level of the North Atlantic Region (GEOSONAR)
supported by the Danish Space Board and the Danish Research
Councils.
- Spring 1999:
visited Proudman Oceanographic Laboratory, England, as part of the
PhD programme.
- 2000 - :
Operational ocean modelling, storm surge warning and tidal
predictions.
